The province of Catanzaro is a province in the Calabria region of Italy. The city of Catanzaro serves as both the capital of the province and the capital of the Calabria region. The province is made up of a total of 80 municipalities (comuni). The provincial president is Vincent Bruno. The province encompasses the Isthmus of Catanzaro, which lies between Sant'Eufemia and the Gulf of Squillace. It shares borders with the provinces of Crotone (which was carved out of it in 1996), Cosenza, Reggio Calabria, and Vibo Valentia. Additionally, it is bordered by the Ionian and Tyrrhenian seas to the east and west, respectively.
